Social Conditining

Image
We all talk about how we are born and brought up in our lives. It seems like a small thing but the way we are grown up matters a lot in our social build-up. Today, I want to talk about something that matters in our lives a lot 'Our social conditioning'. We will be talking about how we used to be conditioned in our parents' generations and probably how we are conditioned compared to the fact that kids nowadays are conditioned. First and foremost I would want to talk about the basic treatment of kids. In our times, when we were young, we were treated to be strong and we were left to do and learn small things on our own like climbing stairs, playing outside, sometimes getting dirty and our demands were not always fulfilled whereas nowadays kids are pampered.  I guess we all have heard this term and we have used it for kids who are always kept in a bubble. A soft protected bubble that has kept them in a cozy vibe that never bothered their living style. These pampered kids are n...

Think for a moment in your life when you did something just for the sake of society and social group…  Think for that moment that you know what you did is wrong and will harm you…  In the previous blog, we learned about how peer pressure can be dangerous for any individual. In this blog, we're going to talk about one of the most common things that every one of us faces which is social pressure.  According to psychology, social pressure is the influence exerted by a group or society on an individual or another group to comply with particular norms or behavior. This pressure can be overt or covert. We all are affected by social pressure. Maybe in school or college, in our society, or in our daily discussions, we are experiencing societal pressure at different levels in our lives. But how can we explain the Societal Pressure? How does this affect the mental state of a Person? How simply can these social pressures ruin any individual's life?  We all have such moments in ...

A pressure that is hard to escape- Peer Pressure

Don’t you think it gets tricky for us as a teenager or students to complete all our parents' expectations… but the weird part is that no one understands it. Every time a teenager is not able to fulfill the expectations we are treated in such a way that we are meant to do the such things that we are not capable of at times.  This peer pressure can be a lot. We as kids do not want to disappoint our parents but if you remember the last blog, we talked about stress and how Genz faces it, and how we choose to escape from it.  What exactly peer pressure is? Who faces the pressure the most? Why do kids face it? Why do our elders put this pressure on us?  Peer pressure is what we kids get from our society or family or friends mainly parents, and can be a way of influencing our choices of life or in life… We kids, the new upcoming generations feel this pressure the most…  To answer the why questions above, it is important for us to dig a little deeper into our parents' though...

Facing it or Running Away

What do you do when you are sad? What do you do when you feel alone? What do you do when there is a problem? What do you do when your professional life falls apart? What do you do?  The questions above are what we as youth face the most and what makes our life what it is. Now just reread every question and think of the answers to it. Think what happens to us and how you deal with all this chaos!! When I see people of our age, the Genz, the ones who are all cool and they seem to have it all figured out. Is it true? Have we figured it out? Do we know everything or do we just run? Run from reality, run from our problems, run from everything wrong in our lives, we do this. I do this, you do this, almost everyone around us does this.   I talked to a lot of Genz or millennials as we say, and I found out one core way that most of us follow which is to know the problem and know every possible way to avoid it. We avoid it because facing such situations becomes tricky and hectic an...
